Locust Trace and FFA program welcome student teacher
MacKenzie Jones, a senior at Murray State University, is working with Locust Trace students and teachers in the agricultural science and technology department and the FFA program for 14 weeks this fall. She will also help with classes at the Kentucky Castle.
Jones, 22, is majoring in agricultural sciences with agricultural education certification. As a student teacher at Locust Trace, she's working under the guidance of instructor Toni Myers to learn all aspects of a successful agricultural science and technology program at the high school level. Jones will strive to become proficient in teaching a variety of classes in the career and technical education area, as well as in assisting students with leadership development in the FFA organization and with career-focused experiential programs.
