Important Updated Volleyball Information
Coaches update plans for volleyball
The coaches canceled in-person conditioning and noted all of the exercises done in the gym can be done at home. We want to make sure the girls are in shape and continue conditioning. These exercises are optional, but are a great way to stay in shape!
- Running laps (at least 4)
- Shuffling from one end to the other (long or short distrance)
- Dynamic stretches (knee-huggers, high knees, butt-kicks, and karaoke)
- Planks (30 seconds each) 2x
- Mountain climbers (20 each leg) 2x
- Wall sits (30 seconds each) 2x
The coaches have discussed open-gym, and will have more information once FCPS provides more information about how the beginning of school will look. For more information, please email volleyball Coach Adriana Conde.
FCPS COVID-19 guidelines for sports
Players and family members must wear a mask to practice and when leaving practice. Wearing a mask during practice is optional.
Players must come to practice dressed in athletic gear; we cannot use the locker rooms.
Players must bring their own water; we cannot share water or use water fountains.
Follow the signs for correct entrances and exits.
Players will have their temperatures taken before every practice, and will be asked some questions regarding symptoms and surroundings as part of the health check.
