May Spirit Project: American Cancer Society

Every May we honor the American Cancer Society through our annual Laura Lemieux and Sheila Brumfield Memory Walk. Laura was a student at Veterans Park Elementary who passed away from cancer when she was in first grade at VPE. Sheila Brumfield was one of our wonderful instructional assistants who passed away a few years ago from cancer.  This year our Memory Walk will be held in the front bus loop at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 19^th.  From May 1^st until May 19^th, donations will be collected within each classroom to support the American Cancer Society (checks can be made out to the American Cancer Society).  

The top 2 classes with the most money collected will earn a popsicle party!!
