TCMS takes first place in local MATHCOUNTS contest
A team of “mathletes” from Tates Creek Middle School took first place in the 2020 local MATHCOUNTS competition. The top-scoring individual and winner of a full-tuition, four-year scholarship from the University of Kentucky and a four-year $1,000 scholarship from Western Kentucky University was Joseph Vulakh. He also received a $500 scholarship from Kentucky MATHCOUNTS. Joseph and teammates Peyton Prichard, Tony Xu, and Seif Naqvi now advance to the state competition March 21 at WKU.
