McDonald’s taps TCHS senior as Black History Maker of Today

Charles Wilson McDonald’s has named Tates Creek High School senior Charles Wilson as a 2021 Black History Maker of Today, a leadership honor that includes a $1,000 scholarship. Charles said his first reaction was complete shock and then gratitude. “I’m going to major in neuroscience and do the pre-medical track,” said Charles, who is deciding between the University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. Principal Marty Mills described him as a consummate student – the total package. “Charles is very intelligent, very well-mannered, very well-rounded. He has truly immersed himself into our school community,” Mills said.
