Rosa Parks a top winner in Imagine Learning contest
Throughout the 2020-21 academic year, Imagine Learning challenged students, classrooms, and schools to maximize their literacy and math practice in the Fayette County Imagine Your Future contest. Rosa Parks Elementary was the districtwide winner in Imagine Math PreK-2, with the highest average usage of this online learning platform – embodying the Imagine Learning spirit and earning the title Imagine Learning Galactic School of the Year! The honor came with a $200 school supplies gift card to celebrate their students’ hard work.
“Imagine Learning is such an integral part of student learning,” said Principal Claudine Barrow. “It spirals back around and focuses on repetition. It has skill and drill as well as in-context material. I also love how Imagine Learning is great with subject acceleration. It is so helpful to be able to set the students on a pathway that allows them to grow and learn at their own pace.”
In addition to the three overall winners, the Out of this World Classroom Award went to randomly selected classrooms that met a product benchmark. In Imagine Math 3+, Caron Cron’s fourth graders averaged 30+ passed lessons as a classroom; and in Imagine Language and Literacy, Lindsey Noblin’s second graders averaged 20+ hours as a classroom. These groups got their choice of a $50 gift card from either Amazon, Pizza Hut, Papa John’s, or Domino’s.
“They loved the challenge and that it’s individualized, and they are really hard workers,” Cron said. Barrow agreed, adding, “That’s why they’re ending the year so successful – because they put in the work.”
