During winter months, all schools will send Chromebooks home with students each day to ensure that students are prepared for an NTI weather day. Please charge your child’s Chromebook each evening and return it to school the next day along with the charger. 

Details about school delays, closures, or NTI weather days are announced via email, phone call, and text message, as well as on social media, the district website, and local media outlets. 

Please take a moment to update your contact information and communication preferences in Infinite Campus so that you receive notifications about winter weather. 

In the event of an NTI day, Northern will provide instruction from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.Students will be expected to join their teacher for instruction during this time.  Students will be given additional work to complete for the remainder of the day.  Students will not be given new work but will be given work that has been taught previously.  Guardians and students are responsible for all Chromebooks assigned to their children. Each student and guardian signed the Acceptable Use Policy, which is a reminder that students may use their Chromebooks for instructional purposes and are not to be on unacceptable websites. Guardians and students are responsible for any damage and replacement costs.

Students who are unable to complete their work on an NTI weather day because of power outages or other issues will have three school days after returning to school to complete and submit missed assignments.
