Important Announcement

Hi Morton Families,
We are so excited to be gearing up to the start of the 22-23 school year.  Our staff has been hard at work preparing for students' arrival. We wanted to share some information with all of our families.
- Open House:  All families are invited to Morton Middle School on Tuesday, August 2nd, please see the attached flyer.  Please be sure to come during your child's grade level time. We have lots of families, so it's imperative that we adhere to the outlined schedule. Please do not bring school supplies on this night.
- Student Schedules:  Students schedules for 7th and 8th grade students will be provided on the first day of school.  However, during Open House, students will learn their teams. We have worked hard to match each student's needs to their specific classes.  No changes will be made to team assignments or schedules.
- Back to School Rallies:  The YMCA is once again hosting Back to School Rallies where backpacks and supplies will be distributed.
- Student Code of Conduct: Please review the FCPS Student Code of Conduct. It can be found at the following link:

Various languages can be found on the FCPS website.
- Dress Code:  In order to keep our school community’s focus where it should be, on student learning, Morton will continue to follow the dress code set forth in the FCPS Student Code of Conduct on page 12. Dress code violations will be handled in accordance with the FCPS Student Code of Conduct Dress Code Violation with the goal of minimizing any disruption to instructional time.

- Supply Lists: All supply lists are posted on the Morton website.  Please bring these items on the First Day of School.
-Transportation: Bus routes will be published on August 1st.
