Morton Mustang Football workouts will begin July 13th on the field behind Morton Middle School. Parents can pick-up and drop off kids on the same road (Cassidy Rd). Workouts will take place Monday through Thursday from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 each evening. Players must have an updated KHSAA Physical Form to participate in workouts. Equipment will not be issued to players for conditioning, so please dress in proper attire (t-shirt, shorts, cleats, etc.) and bring any medicine/inhalers that you need with you. Please send child with their own individual water/drink bottles. Locker room use will be limited, so please make sure your child is dressed ready for workout.
Recommended Workout Regimen:
Conditioning will be a major focus of these workouts. To help prepare players for the challenge, we coaches recommend each player exercising for 1 hour a day starting in June. Exercising can consist of any activity like running, cycling, swimming, etc. Body weight exercises are highly recommended as well. Examples include push-ups, sit-ups, squats, etc. This will only ensure that your player will be in good enough shape to participate in all summer workouts and have fun while doing it.
