Future Mustangs: Save the date - Aug. 3

Soon we will begin a great year together! The Morton sixth grade teachers are planning a special Practice Day just for incoming students on Tuesday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon to help you make a smooth transition to middle school.  Your schedule will include meeting your Academic Leadership teacher (1st period class), getting your new schedule, and touring the building, including elective classes. You will have the opportunity to get your questions answered, and learn all about why Morton is such an amazing school.  One of the most important parts of the day is social time.  You will be reacquainted with old friends and meet some new ones, too!  We will end the morning with a picnic on the front lawn of the school (weather permitting), so bring a sack lunch and a drink.

Prior to practice day, you will receive an email from your AL teacher to inform you of the name of your sixth grade team.  We ask that you not arrive to Practice Day before 8:30 a.m.

This summer as you are preparing for sixth grade, please check your school supply list to make sure you have all the needed items for a successful year!!  You will only need paper and pencil on the first day of school; your teachers will let you know when to bring the rest of the items on the list.  Supply lists are shown on Morton’s homepage, as is the sixth grade Morton summer reading list. Mustangs who read...succeed!

Also, watch the homepage for information on cheerleading, football, and volleyball.
