Locust Trace represents well in 2019 State Fair contests

Several students from Locust Trace AgriScience Center earned ribbons in competition at the 2019 Kentucky State Fair. The floriculture team, led by instructor Daniel Bustle, was runner-up with Keirra Bruce (Dunbar), Maddie Felts (Bryan Station), Lewis Glasscock (Henry Clay), and Max Warnken (Lafayette). Meanwhile, the small engines team placed third with instructor Brian Craig guiding John David Childress (Lafayette), Aaron Long (Bryan Station), Josh Neal (Tates Creek), and Collin Peavler (Lafayette). Their ag mechanics contest consisted of a written test and skills test for 1,200 possible points, and the Locust Trace team finished only 23 points behind the winner. John David, Aaron, and Josh also placed in the Top Ten among individuals.
