Carter G. Woodson Preparatory Academy is marking the three-month anniversary of its launch with a reminder that families can still apply for the 2022-23 school year. Our students focus on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), and everything is taught through the lens of African-American history and culture.
This districtwide special program, which is designed for African-American boys, began in August with grades K-2. It will grow over time and eventually include students through fifth grade. We use a lottery system to select students, and we can accept 50 children at each grade level (K-3 for next fall).
