Board receives survey results, community feedback & profile in superintendent search

At its March 22 regular meeting, the Fayette County Board of Education received an overview of what students, families, and employees want to see in the next superintendent including characteristics, experience, and attributes.

Research firm K12 Insight had conducted a survey of all district stakeholders from March 3-14. In all, 5,524 surveys were completed in eight languages. Key questions included which qualities are needed and valued most in the next superintendent, what challenges the superintendent will face, and points of pride for FCPS and the Lexington-Fayette County area.

In addition, executive search firm Greenwood/Asher & Associates hosted multiple Zoom sessions to collect information about preferred professional and interpersonal skills, background and experiences, and more. Community members also submitted feedback after DIY virtual sessions.
