Meals pickup only on Monday during Thanksgiving week

With the three-day holiday break, Fayette County Public Schools will distribute meals only on Monday, Nov. 23, for the week of Thanksgiving. Each bag will contain five days of meals per child. Please pick up only once per family so the Child Nutrition staff has enough food for every child who needs it. Looking ahead, note that Wednesday, Dec. 16, will be the final meal service before winter break.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Department of Agriculture allows school districts to use a national waiver for expanded meal service. Therefore:

  • Free meals are available for anyone age 18 and younger.
  • Children do not have to be enrolled in Fayette County Public Schools.
  • Children do not have to be present for meals pickup.

On the regular schedule during NTI/2DL, meals are available between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Mondays (two breakfasts and two lunches) and Wednesdays (three breakfasts and three lunches). Families may get food bags at any site regardless of student enrollment.
