FCEA awards two scholarships and 13 grants to educators
The Fayette County Education Association has chosen Emily Glenn of Meadowthorpe Elementary and Monyka Wood of Brenda Cowan Elementary as 2019 recipients of its American Education Week scholarships ($500 each). FCEA members may apply if they are working toward their Rank 2, Rank 1, NBCT, or doctoral degrees.
Also this fall, FCEA issued $250 grants for classroom supplies and activities to these educators:
Jackie Allen, FCPS Preschool Center;
Sherry Coles, LTMS and Tates Creek Middle;
Sarah Collins-Roberts, Family Care Center;
Erika Crouch, Yates Elementary;
Michelle Dexter, Bryan Station High;
Kelly Diamond, Carter G. Woodson Academy;
Denise Hayden, Julius Marks Elementary;
Laura Kegan, Tates Creek Elementary;
Bryan Kennedy, The Learning Center;
Hillary McWhorter, Glendover Elementary;
Bridgette Meyers, Crawford Middle School;
Sarah Ryder, Deep Springs Elementary; and
Shelli Warburton, Bryan Station High School.
