Fayette County Public Schools, God’s Pantry Food Bank, and Employment Solutions participate in the “Kids Eat” Summer Food Service Program, which provides free meals for all children age 18 and younger. Breakfast, lunch, and supper are available on a first-come, first-served basis at designated locations, dates, and times.
For the most updated listings, please text “Food” or “Comida” to 877877 to find nearby sites. Note: Sites are not listed until they open, and the summer schedules vary by location. You may also visit https://www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks or call (866) 348-6479, ext. 2.
Last summer, more than 2,600 sites served nearly 3 million meals to Kentucky children. This federal USDA program, which helps fill the nutrition gap when school is out, provides the same service regardless of a child’s race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. For questions, contact Michelle Coker, director of Child Nutrition in FCPS, at (859) 381-3846.
