Stormy evening forecast prompts FCPS to cancel March 14 after-school activities

Because of the threat of extreme weather, Fayette County Public Schools has canceled all after-school and evening activities for Thursday, March 14, 2019.

Normal dismissal procedures remain in place, but extra-curricular, co-curricular, and school-operated after-school care programs are canceled. Families with students involved in those activities are asked to pick up their children as soon as possible or contact the school to arrange for alternate transportation home.

Families with children in the accelerated learning labs at Harrison, Mary Todd, Arlington, Coventry Oak, the Academy for Leadership at Millcreek, William Wells Brown, Booker T. Washington, and Yates elementaries should call their school to confirm pick-up arrangements.

All children will be supervised until a trusted adult arrives.
