Lafayette Bowler Wins Girls' Singles Title at State

Avery ReevesThird-seeded Avery Reeves of Lafayette won the girls’ singles title in the 2023 KHSAA Bowling State Championships in Jeffersontown. She knocked off No. 2 seed Kendall Craig of Henry Clay and then upset the top seed from Graves County, 200-152, in the final game of the stepladder format. Avery, who is a senior, turned the tables after losing to Kendall in the Region 7 championship and captured the state title after finishing as runner-up last year.

Bowling has been a championship sport sanctioned by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) since 2012.
