Fayette County Public Schools sends a shout-out to students who excelled in Kentucky’s 2023 Beta Club state conventions. Highlights included first place winners from Paul Laurence Dunbar and Lafayette high schools and from Bryan Station and Leestown middle schools. Here are our FCPS results:

Senior Division (high school)

Biomedical Health Science / 11^th Grade – 3^rd place to Alexander Ray of Bryan Station

Robotics – 1^st place to Bryan Station (Signe Ingram, Preston McClain, Rio Miriti, and Alexis Schroeder)

Science / 7^th Grade – 2^nd place to Lukas Matson of Leestown

Social Studies / 8^th Grade – 3^rd to Gavin Beatty of Leestown

Spanish / 8^th Grade – 3^rd to Leestown and 5^th to Addison Moore of Hayes

Elementary Division

Spanish / 4^th Grade – 3^rd place to Jose Hernandez-Hernandez of Brenda Cowan

All three conventions were in mid-January at the Central Bank Center in downtown Lexington.
