Lafayette Team Places Second in eSports State Championships

The Lafayette High School team competing in the League of Legends (PC) division was runner-up in the 2022-23 KHSSA eSports Winter State Championships. Chris Griffith and Tate Renzenbrink coached this group, and their players included Emily Connors, Julian Dziubla, Zoe Dziubla, Mina Hartman (captain), Tyler McAuley (captain), Mary Richardson, Andrew Vichitbandha, Will Waechter, and Liam Watson.

Also competing on Dec. 16 at the University of Kentucky were Lafayette teams in the Rocket League (PC) and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo Switch), along with a Henry Clay High School team in League of Legends. Each made it to the semifinals of their respective divisions.
