Clays Mill Teacher Named ABA Educator of the Year

Meredith SpringateMeredith Springate of Clays Mill Elementary received the 2022 ABA Educator of the Year award during the Kentucky Association for Behavior Analysis state conference in Lexington. As a Special Education teacher serving students who have moderate to severe disabilities (MSD), Springate enjoys building relationships and seeing small wins add up to big progress. “I also love getting to collaborate with different professionals to ensure my students are successful,” she said.

A native of Versailles, Springate has taught for three years at Clays Mill. At the University of Kentucky, she earned a bachelor’s degree in Special Education (MSD) and a master’s in Special Education – Teacher Leader, with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis.
