FFA Students Shine at 2022 State Convention

Chapters from several of our schools participated in the 2022 FFA State Convention in early June. Highlights included the Agriscience Fair, leadership workshops and competitions, and a career expo. Following are contest winners and other honorees from Fayette County Public Schools.

Locust Trace AgriScience Center

  • Ag Fair / Food Science (Division 3): Addison Wright, 1st place*
  • Ag Fair / Social Systems (Division 4): Kat Hudson, 1st place*
  • Prepared Public Speaking: Caroline Groth, 1st place*
  • Beef Impromptu Speaking: Kat Hudson, 1st place
  • Agriculture Issues, 2nd place: Craig Upton, Bailey Jorgensen, Caleb Hobson, and Maya Hamilton
  • State Degree recipients: Nathan Clark, Haivan Stroman, and Bailey Jorgensen
