Lafayette fell to Sayre 2-1 and Henry Clay lost to Madison Central 6-2 in the May 24 semifinals of the 11^th Region baseball tournament. The Generals had advanced by shutting out Great Crossing 3-0, and the Blue Devils rallied past Lexington Christian 6-5 in the first round.

The previous week, Lafayette defeated top-seeded Lexington Catholic 6-2 for the 43^rd District championship, while Henry Clay fell to Sayre 3-2 in the 42^nd District tournament finals.
