Three from Dunbar secure awards in world language showcase

The Kentucky World Language Association’s state showcase gives students an opportunity to show what they can do in their second language. Late elementary through 12th grade students demonstrate their proficiency through an interpersonal interview, presentational writing, and a cultural competence project.

Because of ongoing COVID-19 concerns, the 2022 showcase again went virtual with April 16 interviews and cultural workshops for participants. Congratulations to these winners from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School:

French

  • Artwork / Advanced: 1st place to Joanna Cholewo

German

  • Infographic / Intermediate: 1st place to Halie Boyer
  • Self-Produced Film / Intermediate: 1st place to Max Ederington
