Hundreds of students across the nation applied for this national honor band, a 300-piece ensemble with winds, percussion, and a flag and dance team. The group will spend a week in Southern California, where they will have rehearsals, performances at the Tournament of Roses Bandfest and Disneyland, and a featured appearance in the famous parade. The 5.5-mile parade starts at 11 a.m. on New Year’s Day, and the theme is “DREAM. BELIEVE. ACHIEVE.”
