Lafayette boys earn Region 6 cross-country honors

The boys’ cross-country team from Lafayette High School placed first in the KHSAA 2021 Class 3A Region 6 championships Oct. 23 at Falling Springs Park in Woodford County. Tates Creek was runner-up, and Paul Laurence Dunbar finished third in the 5K run. Among individuals, Commodore teammates Philip Lamartiniere and Reeve VanDemark placed first and second, respectively, and Bryan Station’s Josh Arnett came in third.

In the girls’ competition, Lafayette was runner-up and Frederick Douglass placed third, and the Generals’ Anaya Brown finished second among individual runners.
