Lafayette produces two winners of 2021 national French awards

The American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) has recognized two students of Tracy Lambert at Lafayette High School. Claudia Markel received a 2021 AATF Outstanding Senior in French Award, and Robert Lowther received a 2021 AATF Excellence in French Award. These honors go to non-native speakers who display exceptional commitment to the French language and the many cultures where it is spoken.

Claudia was an officer in the school’s French Club and in the French Honor Society, and Robert was a member of both groups. They also participated in National French Week. Both are 2021 graduates of Lafayette.
