Beaumont boys win 2020 cross-country state championship

KTCCCA state logo The Beaumont boys’ cross-country team took first place in the 2020 KTCCCA Middle School State Championship in Paris. The Colts’ top individual runner in the 4K race was eighth grader Noah Mathews in fourth place overall, finishing seven seconds behind the winner. The Kentucky Track & Cross Country Coaches Association sponsored the Nov. 14 competition at Bourbon County Park. Following are highlights from Fayette County Public Schools. 

Boys 4K

  • Team standings: 1. Beaumont; 6. Leestown; 9. Edythe J. Hayes; 13. Jessie Clark; 25. Bryan Station
  • Top 25 individuals: 4. Noah Mathews of Beaumont; 8. Canaan Thomas of Hayes; 19. Jackson Brooks of Beaumont; 20. Josh Arnett of Leestown 

Girls 4K

  • Team standings: 7. Beaumont; 9. Jessie Clark; 14. Edythe J. Hayes; 20. Leestown; 21. Bryan Station
  • Top 25 individuals: 23. Susanne Estepp of Beaumont
