Liberty’s cross-country girls place first in 4th & U state championship
The Liberty and Rosa Parks girls finished first and second in the 2020 4th & Under State Championships sponsored by the Kentucky Track & Cross Country Coaches Association. In the boys’ 2,000-meter run, Liberty placed third, Rosa Parks fourth, and Garden Springs fifth in the Oct. 17 team standings. Among individuals, Ansley Bloyd of Garden Springs placed eighth and Liberty’s Evie Wiles was tenth in the girls’ field. In the boys’ race, Liberty’s Jesse Dick finished eighth and teammate Kingston Hudspeth was ninth. The events were at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Elizabethtown.
Liberty & Rosa Parks set pace in county championship
The cross-country teams from Liberty and Rosa Parks dominated the 2020 Fayette County Elementary Championship at Masterson Station Park. Here are the Oct. 21 team results and the top-3 runners in each division from FCPS:
Boys 3rd grade & under 2K

- Individuals: 1st Kingston Hudspeth of Liberty; 2nd Tripp Hudspeth of Liberty; 3rd Alex Fidowicz of Rosa Parks
Boys 5th & under 3K
- Teams: 1st Rosa Parks; 2nd Liberty; 4th Glendover; 5th Garden Springs
- Individuals: 1st Hayden White of Glendover; 3rd Tate Sweeney of Rosa Parks
Girls 3rd grade & under 2K
- Teams: 1st Liberty; 2nd Rosa Parks; 3rd Maxwell
- Individuals: 1st Emma Clark, 2nd Evie Wiles, 3rd Emma Harshman, all of Liberty
Girls 5th & under 3K
- Teams: 1st Liberty; 2nd Rosa Parks; 3rd Glendover
