Young Achievers congratulates outstanding fifth and eighth graders for 2019-20

For the 2019-20 school year,* the Young Achievers program chose a top fifth-grader and eighth-grader from each participating elementary and middle school who served as a positive role model, demonstrated exceptional achievement in a variety of areas, exhibited good citizenship, and maintained satisfactory records of school attendance and scholastic achievement.

Each winner received a Young Achievers gold medallion, T-shirt, and book bag. These students were nominated by their principal, guidance counselor, teacher, or an adult leader. Following are the honorees from Fayette County Public Schools.

* COVID-19 impact: The Young Achievers list is usually released in late May. Recognition of the school year's Youth Salute honorees was also delayed by the pandemic restrictions; those older students will be announced this fall.
