Wrestlers steady in Region 7 showdown; 20 advance to state
Five wrestlers from Fayette County Public Schools won their respective weight class in the KHSAA Region 7 competition Feb. 7-8 in Danville, where Lafayette High School earned the most team points. Taking first-place individual honors were Nathan Ainslie of Henry Clay High School (120 pounds), Luke Chapman of Lafayette (132), Azariah Saunier of Lafayette (145), Brayden Giannone of Lafayette (152), and Zac Stray of Lafayette (285). The top four wrestlers in each weight class advance to state, so other qualifiers include the following.
