Key Club International salutes recent Henry Clay graduate
Emily Howard, a 2019 graduate of Henry Clay High School, was among nearly 30 recipients of the Distinguished Governor’s Award recognized during the 2019 Key Club International Convention. Emily was also the first Kentucky/Tennessee district governor to lead her executive committee to distinguished status for each office, including secretary and treasurer.
To earn the governor’s award, Emily completed a packet for judges’ scoring in such areas as personal statement (what she learned, accomplished, and would do differently), club correspondence, officer training, and service to home, school, and community. Emily plans to attend Western Kentucky University this fall.
The convention ran July 3-7 in Baltimore. For questions, please contact Edye Bryant of the Kiwanis Club of Lexington, who serves as Key Club adviser at Henry Clay.
