Lafayette/SCAPA group takes top spot in state theatre festival

Lafayette won first-place honors in the Kentucky Theatre Association’s 2021 high school festival, which pitted 10 entries from across the state. Their production of “Still Life with Iris” earned straight superior ratings, and Annie Harris in the title role was named Best Performer. Lafayette also received the Best Costume Design award for work by its Advanced Technical Theatre class, and Kathuure Miriti, who played Iris’ mother, was selected for the All-Star Cast.

The Lafayette/SCAPA group now advances to the Southeastern Theatre Conference’s 2022 convention, slated for March 9-13 in Memphis, Tennessee. For questions, please email theatre director Amie Kisling at Lafayette.
