Lafayette High School has produced two national silver medalists in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards’ 2021 competition: Anna Ackerman for her entry “The Perfect Storm” in Science Fiction & Fantasy, and Devyn Fleming for “Etymon” in Poetry. On March 17, the nonprofit Alliance for Young Artists & Writers saluted some 1,700 national medalists for their creativity, ingenuity, and talent.
