Students display skills in Educators Rising state competition

Several Lafayette students placed in the Top 5 at the 2020 Educators Rising Kentucky conference, thus qualifying for national competition this summer in Washington, D.C.

Educators Rising, formerly known as Future Educators of America, is a club organization for students interested in education-related careers. Nearly 300 members from 22 schools were to gather March 12 at Northern Kentucky University, but the COVID-19 modified event allowed students to compete virtually via online meetings with judges. The 19 contests, ranging from Creative Lecture to Impromptu Speaking, highlighted students’ skills in various aspects of teaching.
