Jessie Clark’s third-seeded “B” squad upset No. 1 Edythe J. Hayes 14-6 in the 2022 Fayette County Middle School Football Championship.

The Eagles shut out Tates Creek 28-0 in the first round and outlasted No. 2 seed Bryan Station 32-28 in the semifinals to reach the Nov. 10 championship game, where they knocked off Hayes with a strong defensive effort.

“Continuing the Jessie Clark tradition, our JV team brought home another championship,” said Coach Eric Schlarb. “This group of student athletes and coaches worked very hard. They have the opportunity to become a very special group.”
