Design and Innovation students create upgraded face masks
Students in Mr. Slone’s Design and Innovation class participated in a design brief as part of a unit with Project Lead the Way. Students created a prototype mask that was functional, but also added something new or unique to the design. Students worked through the Problem-Solving Process, evaluated their team’s design, then used a decision matrix to selection one design from the class.
This course is part of our 6-12 engineering pipeline, which is a partnership with us, Frederick Douglass High School, Southside Technical Center, and UK College of Engineering.
