At this fall’s meeting, members of the Kentucky Music Educators Association selected our own Macy Bell as District 7's Elementary Teacher of the Year. 

“I believe music broadens our ways of knowing, doing, and being. Music is a mirror into which we can see our own reflection, a window through which we can see another way of life, and a sliding glass door that allows us to enter entirely new worlds,” said Bell, the general music specialist at Coventry Oak since the school opened seven years ago.

Bell is now in the running for the state-level award, which will be presented during the KMEA state conference in February.
