Eighth-grader Kiran Koul among Top 300 in nationwide STEM competition

Beaumont eighth-grader Kiran Koul was among the Top 300 competitors in the 2019 Broadcom MASTERS, the nation’s premier STEM competition for middle schoolers. The Broadcom MASTERS, which leverages affiliated science fairs as a critical component of the STEM talent pipeline, features the top 10 percent of middle school projects from around the country. Kiran’s project was “The Effect of Rennet Mediated Coagulation on Acid Based Milk Curdling.” Ultimately, Kiran was not chosen as a finalist; these 30 students will travel to Washington, D.C., this fall for a four-day STEM competition and public showcase.
