  • FFA Excitement

On Friday, April 26th a few JCMS FFA members were across town at Locust Trace competing in practice contests for State FFA Convention in June.  Fayette Co. Middle Schools FFA hosted middle schools from across the state at Locust Trace in a practice state contest.

Kelsi Bentine placed 1st overall in Prepared Public Speaking (A contest where students have to prepare and memorize a 5-7 minute speech about a current agriculture issue.)

Jessie Clark will compete at Rupp Arena in the state finals on June 10th.  We are so proud and cannot wait to see how our students do at state!

  • PTSA Fundraiser

We are trying a new type of PTSA fundraiser this year- the JCMS school store!  The store will be open before school some mornings and will have basic school supplies in addition to some extras like JCMS shirts, cinch sacks, ear buds, etc.  The items will be sold to students at low cost and the proceeds will go directly to the PTSA for use in supporting school events and toward this year's goal of helping the school supply alternative seating to students in the classroom (like standing desks and wobble stools).  We also plan to allow an exchange program- 50 boxtops for a free t-shirt or $2 worth of items at the store. We will rely on parent donations to stock the store. While you are out school supply shopping, please consider picking up a few of the items below. Now is a great time to stock up while supplies are not as expensive!
