Rebecca Shearer Tapped as Interim Leader for BSHS

Rebecca Shearer has been selected as interim executive principal of Bryan Station High (BSHS) for the 2026-27 school year. She will begin her new role July 1.

A 28-year education veteran, Shearer is the current BSHS Academy Coach and previously served as the school’s Information Technology principal. Prior to joining Bryan Station in 2019, she was the academic performance coach for Lincoln County Public Schools. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a master’s in School Improvement from the University of the Cumberlands.

“Rebecca Shearer is a proven instructional  leader with an exceptional commitment to the Bryan Station High School community. She has a passion for continuing the acceleration of student outcomes and collaborating with students, teachers, staff, and families to advance the great work already in place,” said Assistant Superintendent Bill Bradford.

During the 2026-27 school year, the School-Based Decision Making Council will work alongside Chris Salyers, chief of high schools, to conduct a thorough principal selection process for a permanent replacement for Eric Hale.
