Four Nominees Up for ‘Yes I Can!’ Award

Four Nominees Up for ‘Yes I Can!’ Award

Each summer, the Kentucky Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) accepts nominations for the “Yes I Can!” award. Fayette County Public Schools has submitted four students for the 2025-26 school year, and CEC is reviewing all the candidates throughout July.

This award honors children and youth with special needs. Kentucky’s nominees will be recognized in November at CEC’s statewide conference in Louisville. One winner is selected in each category – Academics, Arts, Transition, Technology, School and Community Activities, and Self-Advocacy – and they advance to compete at the national level.

Let’s meet our FCPS contenders!
