Several Specialized Programs Still Have Openings

Several Specialized Programs Still Have Openings

Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) is excited to announce that several specialized school programs have a few remaining open seats for the 2026-27 academic year.  

“There is still time for your student to apply for one of our world-class programs,” said Julie Gann, associate director of Gifted & Talented Services. “FCPS is always looking for ways to expand access to learning opportunities for our students, even as we count down to the start of school.”

Families are encouraged to review these available options and apply by Friday, Aug. 7. 

  • Biomedical Sciences Magnet Program at Frederick Douglass High – grades 9, 10
  • Dual-Language Immersion at Bryan Station High – grades 9, 10 (closes Monday, Aug. 3)
  • George Washington Carver STEM Academy for Boys – grades K, 4
  • Rise STEM Academy for Girls – grade 6
  • Success Academy's virtual learning program -- grades 6-12 (application open year-round)
