“Allen embodies the passion for education that we strive for in our leadership,” said Chief School Leadership Officer Lisa Smith. “His unwavering commitment to creating a warm, inclusive school environment ensures that every student, staff member, and family member feels like a valued stakeholder from the moment they walk through the doors. We are confident his vision will make Helen Caise Wade Elementary a true cornerstone of the community.”

Allen will assume this new role July 1 while maintaining his successful tenure as principal of George Washington Carver STEM Academy for Boys, where he has served as the primary educational leader, supervisor, and appraiser. His 30-60-90-Day Plan for the new elementary campus on Greendale Road is designed to align with our district’s Strategic Plan, ensuring the school provides a world-class, equitable education from Day 1.

Allen’s diverse experience includes serving as a STEAM/STEM educator, Student Technology Leadership Program coordinator, and chair of a School-Based Decision Making Council. Beyond academic rigor, Allen is deeply committed to "cultivating the village." His plan for the new school includes home visits and community pop-up events to meet all the founding families before the first day of school in August 2027. Under his leadership, Helen Caise Wade Elementary will feature customized traditions designed to build a lasting legacy, including a House System for student mentorship and a Legacy Mural involving staff and students.

Allen earned a bachelor’s degree in Community Communications and Leadership Development from the University of Kentucky and a graduate degree in Education (K-4) and Leadership from Lipscomb University. Furthering his expertise in organizational management, he obtained an Educational Specialist degree from the University of the Cumberlands, where he is now a doctoral candidate specializing in leadership.
