Generals' Girls Place 3rd in Class 3A State Meet

Lafayette High School brought home the 2025 KHSAA boys’ cross-country championship trophy after the Nov. 1 state meet at the Kentucky Horse Park, and their girls’ team finished third in Class 3A. The Generals had swept the Region 6 titles a week earlier. 

Xavier Richardson set the pace for FCPS as runner-up in the boys’ state contest, and teammate Van Weimer placed fifth. In the girls’ race, Susanne Estepp of Paul Laurence Dunbar High earned second-place honors, and Henry Clay High’s Billie Phemister placed 10th.
