Lafayette Club Members Shine at 2026 DECA Nationals

Club members from Lafayette High School earned kudos this spring at the 2026 DECA International Career Development Conference, commonly referred to as DECA Nationals. The event drew over 20,000 high school students, advisers, business professionals, and alumni to Atlanta for competition finals, leadership academies, and special events. 

Highlights:

• Meibelle Wiesmann – Top 10 Exam Score in Buying & Merchandising Team Decision Making
• Meibelle Wiesmann and HaiWen Shi – Certification by the American Marketing Association 
• Isabelle Dinh and Madelyn Dinh – Award of Excellence in Buying & Merchandising Operations Research
• Jiya Sheth, Julie Li, and Athena Saturday – Award of Excellence in Hospitality & Tourism Research
• Alexandra Joiner Garcia – Award of Excellence in Principles of Business Management & Administration
• Eric Nunez  – Graduate of the Aspire Leadership Academy
• Lafayette Chapter – DECA Membership Campaign
