KMEA Taps Hundreds for 2026 All-State Ensembles

KMEA Taps Hundreds for 2026 All-State Ensembles

Each year, looking ahead to the Kentucky Music Educators Association (KMEA) winter conference, students across the state audition for the Commonwealth’s top ensembles. Those selected for all-state recognition then come together to rehearse the music and perform in culminating concerts.

Congratulations to the 2025-26 honorees from Fayette County Public Schools!

Student List

In addition, four FCPS ensembles were invited to perform during the conference:

  • Bryan Station High School’s chamber orchestra, under the direction of Kelly Mayes and Nathan Bailey
  • Leestown Middle’s seventh and eighth grade orchestra, led by Nathan Wilson and Sarah Conrow
  • SCAPA at Bluegrass symphony, directed by Sara Francis and Allison Weitkamp
  • SCAPA’s middle school choir, guided by Amanda Wells

The KMEA Professional Development Conference is Feb. 4–7 in the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville. For more information, please reach out to our district’s Fine Arts Department.
