In high school basketball postseason play, the district champions and runners-up advanced to this week’s 11th Region tournaments at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond. Follow along to the championship games Sunday, March 8 (girls) and Monday, March 9 (boys):

42nd District Results

Girls – Frederick Douglass notched their fourth straight title with a 63-24 victory over Scott County.

Boys – Douglass dominated Bryan Station 66-36 in the championship game.

43rd District Results

Girls – Paul Laurence Dunbar handled Lafayette 82-57 for its first district title since 2020.

Boys – Tates Creek fell to Lexington Catholic 68-60 in double overtime.
