Five Artists Collect Awards in 2026 All-State Contest

A handful of FCPS students received accolades in the Kentucky Art Education Association’s 2026 High School All-State Art Competition. Congratulations to all!

• Painting – 1st place to Miranda Soto Martinez of Lafayette for “Longing”
• Sculpture – 1st place to Olivia Poff of Bryan Station for “Coral Reap”
• Ceramics – 3rd place to Krisean Smith of Bryan Station
• Drawing – 3rd place to Natalia Melchiore-Dayton of Lafayette
• Fashion Design – 3rd place to Nevaeh Williams of Lafayette

This spring’s exhibition at the University of Kentucky’s Bolivar Art Gallery culminated with the May 17 closing reception and awards program.
