FCPS Salutes 2026 Summer of Excellence

After an exciting summer of exploration and learning, we commend the dozens of high school students chosen for statewide sessions that help develop the next generation of leaders: the 2026 Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP), Governor’s School for the Arts (GSA), and Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs (GSE). 

In GSP, students balance a busy schedule in the sciences, mathematics, social sciences, humanities, and the arts along with seminars, community improvement projects, and co-curricular, residential, and student-initiated activities. GSA, a program of the Kentucky Performing Arts, immerses talented students in master arts classes and creative projects led by professional artists. And for budding entrepreneurs, the GSE program features visits to startups, creation of business models, design of prototypes, and pitches to judges on Demo Day.
